A rare and early antique English hand painted porcelain tea bowl and saucer made by the renowned Worcester Flight factory and dating from around 1780. The tea bowl and saucer are made in white porcelain with a matching ribbed patterning to the bodies with fluted rims and both are hand painted with stylized puce floral designs set with scrolling gilded ribbons with further gilding applied around the edges. Both the centre of the saucer and inside of the tea bowl are painted with a large similar design and the tea bowl has a very rare ‘Flight’ puce painted mark.
