A pair of Coalport cobalt blue square covered vegetable serving dishes decorated with gilded bands of interlocking scrolls and finials. Hand painted panels to dishes and lids, one decorated with waterfowl and game birds and the other with floral bouquets and flower baskets in the manner of William Billingsley. This pattern is documented on a dessert service (plate 25) and the form is illustrated in a dinner service (plate 13) of Godden’s Coalport and Colebrookdale Porcelains. Jenkins, 1970.
