Rare Dutch baroque box composed of padauk wood with original red lacquer finish, decorated with ivory lacquer with gold outline. Richly adorned with heavy brass (or bronze) decorative mounts and two carrying handles on either side.
Under lid a lage compartment, removable front lifts to reveal three additional small drawers.
Created in the Netherlands, circa. 1700, in original untouched condition with very beautiful patina. Very rare.
