Fittings are all stamped “Holophane” and “PAT No 28498/15 Glass shades also bearing the Holophane makers marks The Snippet from our 1936 catalogue show the various sizes and variation available in this shape shade officially known as “HOLOPHANE CONCENTRATING STILETTO REFLECTORS” which were designed to give a wide asymmetrical light distribution. The reflective power of the prismatic glass is seven times that of the bare lamp, likely the reason these were so popular for lighting window displays in tradition shop windows throughout the 20th century.
