Attributed to the Branch Green Pottery in Philadelphia, PA.
Of ovoid form with an applied handle and a tooled spout.
Decorated to the shoulder with a coggled design of a bird with a leaf (or branch) in its beak.
Fascinatingly, there appear to be several fingerprints from the potter visible in the glaze and captured in time.
Simply a wonderful rare jug!
