This outstanding fixture is the work of John Blades of Ludgate Hill, London. Blades was one of the premier chandelier makers in Regency England. A number of the chandeliers in Buckingham Palace were his work. The gilt bronze frame supports six arms and six internal lights; the internal lights give the chandelier an amazing golden glow at night. 90% of the prisms are original and the replaced prisms are old exact copies. The crown is topped by five-point bronze stars with crystal buttons. Heavy cut crystal bobeches are hung with Georgian rule prisms. The fixture can be used with the hurricane shades (as shown in most of the photos) or without them (as shown in one room view Newly rewired (US standards) by us.. Appropriate chain and ceiling canopy and the hurricane shades are included with the fixture. This chandelier was featured in the dining room of the “Southern Style Now/Traditional Home Show House” in Savannah, GA (as shown in one photo).
