A highly coveted, well made and decorative armchair, in the traditional elm, this is an early hoop back version, the collectability is in the ware, the traces of original paint, the leg tops having worn through the seat base, the same with the back rail and the spindles at the top, this chair tells a story covering its 220+ years of life
This has been lightly cleaned waxed and polished, the frame has been checked and secured, it has old repairs all-over and ware as mentioned, some of the legs look to have been replaced
