Large pair of transomed Louis XV doors: Régence period exterior doors, hand carved in oak with original transom. Dated to the first half of the 18th century. These doors and transom originally belonged to a home in Paris. They include original, or extremely early, hardware. Hand carved scroll and rocaille motifs adorn both doors and transom. Doors, transom and architectural surround sold together for $10,000. Height can be raised for an additional cost.
Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Regional differences in humidity and climate during shipping may cause antique and vintage wood to shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer to loosen and/or peel, and painted finishes and gilt to crack and flake.
