This exceptional antique sterling silver fork has been crafted in the bright-cut old English pattern.
This antique George III salad serving fork has six tines with a plain rounded drop.
The anterior surface of the handle is embellished with bright cut engraved simplified floral designs accented with undulating borders, incorporating an oval vacant cartouche to the terminal.
The reverse surface of this sterling silver serving fork incorporates a pip to the terminal, in addition to a rounded heel to the bowl/drop.
Condition
This antique sterling silver salad fork is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and is in exceptional condition.
The bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the fork are very clear; the hallmarks are deeply struck due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique Georgian silverware.
