A French two-toned painted wood trumeau mirror from the early 20th century with carved foliage, ribbon-tied motifs and arched mirror plate. Created in France at the Turn of the Century, this trumeau mirror features a two-toned finish showcasing a warm grayish beige color perfectly complimented by a cream accentuation. Topped with a cavetto style cornice, the mirror features a linear silhouette adorned with ribbon-tied falling foliage in the upper corners. Flanked with two thin pilasters, the frame surrounds a lighter toned arched molding with carved foliage. The mirror plate in the center shows signs of aging as shown on image 7. With its classical lines, soft colors and subtle carved décor, this Turn of the Century French painted wood trumeau mirror circa 1900 will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any home, perhaps hung above a credenza, console table or sofa, in a living room or in a foyer.
