The mantel is made from striking Italian Bardiglio grey marble, this nice toned marble has striking lighter areas and impressive veins.
The nice thick serpentine shelf has strong profiles edges and sits above a wide and swooping frieze with a beautiful symmetrical central cartouche echoed in the rounded well carved endblocks above very wel decorated tapered and paneled jambs above a plain footblocks.
We made the mantel shine and shimmer in all the right placed while retaining its original patina and really transforms you back to the manor estate in the middel of France where this was originally from.
The topshelf has been restored and strengthen.
It really is an amazing piece and thanks to it dimensions it is very usable in modern spaces nd renovations.
