English Hepplewhite mahogany sideboard, the top has an unusual profile with the rounded ends bowing out which lead to the center with a concave shape; the top edge has continuous reeding around the front and sides. The drawers have beautiful crotch mahogany veneer with boxwood inlay and edge. The ring pulls with reticulated back plates are antique but not original. Below the drawers is a plainly arched apron; the legs are delicately tapered. Of note is the mortise and tenon construction visible on the back, this is a common feature on late 18th and early 19th century sideboards for added stability.
