Early 20th Century Strangl Bird Figurines- a Pair

In 1939, Stangl began producing bird figurines which were favorably received and throughout the 1940’s found great popularity in the United States. In the mid-1950’s, Stangl began to phase out bird figurines, ultimately ceasing production around 1978. Many of the Stangl birds were inspired by John J. Audubon’s “Birds of America.”
