Very unusual early 18th century tridarn press cupboard from England. This piece is truly wonderful. It is unusual in that it has two shelves instead of just one, so it has triple tiers, which is much more stately and gives it some additional height. The top shelf has a wonderful carved apron, supported on two hand carved supports with a four panel back. The panels are all hand carved decorated with flourishing design elements. The apron is repeated over the middle shelf, which is a cupboard with doors, also with hand carved paneled doors and central panel. The doors open to reveal storage. The base of the cupboard has two drawers over two carved paneled doors, which also open to reveal ample storage. The sides of the case are simple and hand paneled. This is a wonderful piece with a rich color and patina.
