A particularly fine Carved Armchair in a Jacobean related style. In a very dark stain with a tall back and relief carved decoration of an urn with floral vines and separate carved sides with tall stemmed leafy flowers. The crest rail with a foliate scroll. With an unhewn back. The curved arms with scrolls front and back, raised on turned supports. The seat raised on turned front legs and square back legs in one piece with the frame, and with square stretchers on all sides.

Condition: There are stable age cracks upper left and right where the side panels are connected, expected wear to the arms, a later support block can be seen under the seat, the entire chair with a fine age derived patina and presenting exceptionally well.
