This beautiful table was made in Spain in the early 18th century. It was completely made in solid chestnut. The top was made from one piece of wood and displays an intricate grain pattern. The top was joined to the base by a dovetail joint. The sides of the top were decorated with a stacked coins carved wood molding. The table is equipped with two drawers with molded trim and recessed panels with authentic wooden drawer pull. The skirt and apron were convex-concave cut, typical for the baroque style. The table has simple square legs and shows the vertical lines from hand scraping the wood. The coffee table has a dark warm brown color with a great patina and deep gloss. The table shows many marks of use throughout and has abundant character. The table is solid, clean, and ready for use.
