An 18th century open shelving display and closed storage cabinet from Italy, with fabulous Roman Ionic column details and retains it’s original paint and gilt accents. This antique cabinet, which originally resided in an old church in Italy, is very large-sized, standing approximately 9.4 feet in height and over 7 feet in length. This is an exquisite piece with a reversed breakfront and richly carved dentil crown molding about the top cornice. A pair of Roman Ionic carved columns with fluted details flank the five open shelves within the top center, each opening to reveal hidden shelving inside. The lower case is fitted with four front doors, and offers an incredible amount of storage within. The upper middle panel of this piece is painted with the numbers “194” with a plate mounted directly beneath with the name “Lily Eglantine Marshall” displayed on it. Please note that although this piece breaks down into 2 pieces for easier transport and installation, that it is quite heavy and should be handled with great care! This 18th century Italian cabinet is so much more grand and beautiful in person- if you are looking for that show-stopper addition to your home, this is the piece for you!
