This beautiful engraving is entitled “Country Market” and was made by AF. Bargas (1659-17…), a painter and engraver of the late 17th and early 18th century.
This print depicts a market scene in a harbour landscape, where we see a ship loading cargo on the quays. In the background of the print is a large stone building, probably an abbey. In the background on the right is a fortified stone bridge.
Frame dimensions: 55 cm wide (21.55 inches) and 41 cm long (16.14 inches).
