Offered for your consideration, a floor lamp designed by C.J. Jucker in 1923 under the supervision Prof. W. Wagenfeld in the metal workshop at the Bauhaus Weimar. This Italian made version was one of the first Bauhaus lamps to be reproduced in the 1970’s and was produced as a limited edition. A clever design that was in many ways a modernist’s take on the iron bridge style floor lamps that were still popular during the 1920’s. Different lighting scenarios can be created by rotating the reflector and moving it along one the horizontal bar which it’s self rotates on the vertical post.
The originals from the BAUHAUS in Weimar may only have been a prototype as they were not produced for the market at that time.
A stunning and sturdily crafted lighting device this is indeed a rare find!
