An 18th century table of peroba wood from Brazil. This antique Brazilian occasional table has a simple, bucolic design with a rectangular plank board top which overhangs the simple apron on which it rests. The table, which is nearly counter height making it a great work table, is raised upon four squared legs, each braced with plain wooden stretchers between them. The table is comprised of peroba wood (a tropical native hardwood, 35% harder than oak), and has a beautifully rustic patina, showing character from it’s prior use and age. This 18th century Brazilian table would work well in numerous rooms; any place that could use a touch of unassuming rustic charm!
